
CCW Renewal Class
8-HOUR CLASS | $120 per person
(Starting January 1, 2024)
In this CCW Renewal Qualification course, you will be reiterating the Universal Firearms Safety Rules, safe pistol handling, and presentation from a holster and/or concealment. We will also have a discussion on the current California CCW laws currently active as well as discuss situational awareness and WWYD scenarios, this class will also include a 1-hour mandatory presentation on Mental Health. There will be a written test and a course of fire range test. .

Primary pistol*:
• Ammo: 150-200 Ball/FMJ Rounds
• At LEAST 2 Magazines/1 Speed-loader
• 10 Rounds of Defensive Ammo -
Additional pistols* (up to 3 total; 4 including primary):
• Ammo: 20-30 Rounds/pistol for qualifications -
Appropriate clothing for conditions

Holster and concealment garment (concealment garment is optional)

For this class we will only be using and practicing with holsters at the hip or appendix carry. Don’t forget to wear a belt if you have a holster.

No pistols or gear needed for the Classroom portion.

RANGE QUALIFICATION:
You can have up to 4 pistols on your CCW permit (Modoc County). Please have all 1-4 you wish to be permitted for. On the S.O. qualification form, it reads as follows:
Qualification: 80% - 16/20 shots within the 7 ring (line counts).
The size of the 7 ring is about 15” x 23”. Course of Fire: Static Course at the 7 yard line, 4 volleys, 20 rounds total, no time limit.
FOR ALL PHASES: no time limit, guarantee your shots!
80% must hit in the scoring portion of the target to pass. You will shoot the comparable, qualifying course of fire given to you by your instructor.

Remember, this class does not give you the CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon) permit. It merely allows you to go to the Sheriff's office and apply or re-apply.
